Enter a world of supernatural events. Based and set in Chicago, IL. Confusion is a tale about a small diverse group of vampires in Chicago, led by their leader, Lares, which is Roman for Protector of the Home. He is a 200 year old vampire, and has been the vampire King in/of Chicago for quite some time now. But he has been suffering with an internal conflict, a conflict of which he and his team doesn't know anything about. The conflict that resides within Lares, is about whether or not to transform into a human or to remain a vampire. In doing so Lares must perform a forbidden ritual that involves the killing of his own kind and smearing the blood of the innocent onto himself. 

Once this decision is made, he soon finds himself to regret it and NOW MUST FIND A WAY TO TURN THINGS AROUND BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! In the midst of this there's true love in the midst, After speaking with a young woman dealing with an abusive relationship, Lares pairs Rhonda Cunningham and his fellow vampire Adonis together. While Love's in the air, there's trouble lurking around the corner, with a supernatual bounty hunter group hunting down Lares' kind are any of them safe? Jade Wilson and her crew of hunters encounter Lares and later on his long time friend, Zuberi Laveau, the Voodoo King of Chicago.
